My name is Nathan, the creator of this book and software developer of the companion AR app. I'm Canadian-born 🇨🇦 living in the US 🇺🇸 and a father to two beautiful daughters. Our household is a mix of Mandarin Chinese and English, and we're always on the hunt for more engaging Chinese and bilingual resources, thus this book idea was born.
The main purpose of this book's creation was to engage my young daughter in her language-learning journey. Every decision made in creating this book, including the illustrations, animations, voiceovers, and technological features, were made with her in mind and with her acting as my main tester and critic.
I think we landed on an incredible design and concept together, and we're excited to share it with other young Chinese learners out there.
